SORONG - Acting Regional Secretary of West Papua Daya Province, Jhoni Way, S.Hut.,M.Si, represented the Acting Governor at the coordination meeting on cooperation between BPH Migas and the Government of West Papua Daya Province held at Aston Hotel Sorong, Thursday (11/07/2024).

This coordination meeting follows up on the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between BPH Migas and the Government of West Papua Daya Province previously carried out. The PKS covers Control, Supervision, and Monitoring in the distribution of Certain Types of Fuel (JBT) and Special Assigned Fuel (JBKP) to end-users. In the written speech read by the Acting Regional Secretary, the Acting Governor expressed appreciation to BPH Migas for initiating this cooperation with the local government. This

cooperation aims to ensure the proper distribution of subsidized fuel throughout the legal jurisdiction of West Papua Daya Province. & quot;We fully support this initiative, and if there are any issues related to mechanisms and regulations, we will discuss them in this coordination meeting," said the Acting Regional Secretary. The coordination meeting was attended by the Head of BPH Migas, the Director-General of Regional Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs, representatives from the Governor of Riau Islands, representatives of regional heads from Papua and Maluku, members of the BPH Migas committee, and leaders of regional government organizations (OPD) from

district, city, and provincial governments of West Papua Daya. This event is expected to strengthen the synergy between BPH Migas and the local government in supervising and ensuring the smooth distribution of subsidized fuel, thereby providing maximum benefits to the people in West Papua Daya Province.
